Because so many of the little towns along the Camino don't have Internet I am now 5 days behind with the postings.
10:30am Mojapan.
This means Moisten Bread. The fountain is now labeled don't drink so I won't moisten any bread.
I got asked to move beds because of my snoring last night. I went to bed about 9pm and when the others started getting ready for bed they woke me and asked me to move.
I thought I slept all right last night but today I am lacking energy - maybe not enough food yesterday.
It was raining heavily when I started out at 6:45am.The rain eased off after a couple of hours and it is now sunny with a cold wind. I am finding it strange being one of the slow ones on the Camino today. I have to step aside to let people pass and when I am with a group I find myself falling off the back. There are still 10.8 km to go. When I started this morning I thought I would be finished by 12:30. It now looks like being 2pm.The battery in my camera has fallen out while it was in my backpack over night so I have taken no pictures yet this morning. I need to find it because there is a lovely view of the snow covered Montes de Oca- an area once well known for bandits. If
San Juan de Ortega. 5pm
This village has a population of 20. There is 1 bar and the church has decided cancel the pilgrims mass tonight. I went to look at the church earlier and in boredom I may go back again. It may be 12th century but it is pretty dull in my opinion. Up to now just about every bar has had Wifi but not here
I have just had 40 minutes sleep in front of the TV. I walked with Patricia for about two hours today - from my previous stop until 1km from the albergue and also sae Josh again. To celebrate his 40th birthday he has taken up smoking. It is getting cold in spite of the fire going. I have a blister on my right foot. Crotch is way better today.
The regional government is called Junta de Castille y Leon. I can't help thinking of a junta as a military government and keep waiting for the machine guns to appear.
