Ciruena to Belorado 22 May

Ciruena 4:30am
I'm awake and not tired . Got up so my tossing and turning won't keep others awake. One thing I noticed is xarre had wind turbines but La Roija doesn't. The wind seems to be just as strong and there are plenty of ridges to put them on. I'm hoping the bad weather will have blown through before it is time to start walking.
Crux de los Valientes 9:30am.
After a superb start doing the 5km to Santo Domingo in less than 1 hour I am now in start/stop mode . I met up with Carol who had taken the bus to Santo Domingo because shewell. She was waiting for Ignacio who she tells me also isn't well which would explain the slow walking. Coming in to Santo Domingo I met a French man going the other way
carrying 2 packs. He gave me a long story in French but from looking at his stick he was waving about he has walked or is walking 5240km.

Just before I start down for a rest I met 4 pilgrims from West Australia. They were going slow as 1 needs a hip replacement. The N120 route north of Santo Domingo is now one half of what will become an Autopista .A new section of Camino has built parallel to it and the 2014 version of the Camino guide is now wrong. There are dark clouds up ahead.

Viloria de la Roija (which is actually in Castille y Leon not La Roija)
Ran into Doug and Amy but left them behind as I need to walk quickly to keep warm in the cold wind. Amy had me telling most of what happened since we parted in her usual manner. They said that Gert and Josh were up ahead of me. They saw them yesterday so it is possible I will find them in Belorado. Doug and Amy did the trip Ciruena via Cana and loved it. The extra tape I applied to my crotch has stopped the rubbing completely. I am hiding from the wind in the entrance to the church along with several others. I won't stop long then push on to the next town for lunch.

Belorado 6pm
The food in Vilamayor del Rio was way too dear so I carried on to Belorado. I have just woken up from a sleep. I think I developed a slight case of hypothermia (or is it the other one) out in the wind. Thr Korean and Japanese people staying here have put a meal in front of me- fish soup with some form of pasta they made themselves from flour and water anf a plate of beef with spinach rice and onions. I am truly overcome by their generosity. These people are true followers of Christ.

I met Gert in a bar this afternoon and we had a couple of Vino Tintos. Maria and Anneke are tonight in Granon. Gert thinks he will try to avoid the towns that are the end of guide book stages so we may not meet again. Just stepped out to go to mass and it is raining Today I will stay unwashed in water but fully awash in the love I have received from others.
