All castled out - 3 May

Spent today looking at
- The house Leonardo da Vinci died at in Amboise
- An attempt to see the outside of Chaumont sur Loire - unsucessful
- Cheverny
- Blois

Definitely seen enough castles for this trip.  I think I've finally got the hang of driving on the wrong side of the road.

Started the walking tour of Blois - following the map on a leaflet but I ran out of time.  Blois is a medieval city.  It was capital for France before Paris. The streets in the old parts are about 2m wide. In theory you can drive a car down them but I wouldn't be keen. Blois was bombed during WWII so much was rebuilt over about a decade from the war.  The roads in the rebuild area are wider but not really up to the demands of a modern city so lots of streets are one way.

I took the long way back to Poce-sur-Cisse via the town of Chateau-Renault. A TGV train went past much faster than I was driving.
