I have started on the working out the details for my South Island walk next year. I have each days walk and the date planned. I have also started going through the dog control policies for all the South Island local bodies and finding out where I may have problems. Nelson looks like the only big one at this stage where my planned route - Maungatapu Track - runs through a dog prohibition area.
Really great is that I my sister Ngaire and her husband Ted with me for the section from Queenstown back to Christchurch.
I just got interrupted for 3 hours by a call out from work. Thinking I could save time creating an empty dataset for a system that no longer does anything I tried forcing a job OK. Bad call as many datasets finished up with the wrong date. Still who needs sleep.
Starting on 3 December I am walking in India. I will be accompanied by Pankaj Ambvane and Darryl Percy on a walk of about 570km finishing on December 30th,
