Day 64 Rest day Timaru

It is great being pain free. Again I have felt that I wanted to do things on a rest day. I didn't wake very early - about 7am - but I got up and walked the dogs around the block. By 9am I had my washing on the line and went off for a massage.

When I called in at the bank to plug in my laptop and check emails the shoes from Fiona had arrived so Rapid can walk in comfort for the last 4 days. Ella and Rapid were exceptional well behaved with the rural banking staff and left the staff feeling an office dog would be a good idea.

I had whitebait fritters for lunch but was still feeling a little peckish so I got sweet stuff from the supermarket and headed off to the park to let the dogs have another run around. There were 2 people who arrived about the same time I did and ate their lunch in the car. When I was leaving I was disgusted and the dogs delighted to find they didn't like their foor so just threw it out the window.

After an afternoon nap Rapid got brushed. His bum was full of knots so I took to it with the scissors. Not surprising considering the last time I brushed him was at Nelson.

Katherine from Temuka was here for dinner and my son Iain came down from Christchurch as well. I spent most of the evening recounting my adventures. Ella had to remind me it was dinner time. She has once again taken over and kicked Neville's labrador out of its bed. Just as well she is sleeping in the van at night.

I'm feeling well rested and I'm looking forward to the start of the last set of walking tomorrow. I had all sorts of admin things that should have been done today and aren't. I think I need an admin day in Christchurch before I hand over paper work to the cancer society.
