Day 53 rest day Gore

Walked today - 0km but still 12018 steps.

The highlight of today was Gore medical practitioner, and mother of 2 of my children, Lynley Brown getting her hair cutoff and giving me the $423.50 raised to help towards my target. This is an incredible gesture by which I am truly humbled.

Yesterday was Ted's birthday so tonight we went out to dinner at Howling at the Moon. The suggested if we cam early it would be quiet. Yeah right - full of noisy small children and a bad tempered baby.

Bernie Hewitson gave me a massage and didn't charge. Thank you Bernie. I had bacon and eggs for lunch and spent the afternoon catching up with emails sitting in MacDonalds which is the only "cafe" in town with WiFi.

The dogs got 2 very short walks. I sorted the money in the bucket - over $1000 - that will be banked on Monday, probably at Milton. Late afternoon I summonded up courage to burst my heel blister in the hope it deflates overnight.

Once again I didn't manage to brush Rapid. I think he may need a shave when we get to Christchurch.

That's it folks.
