Day 10 - Rest day Blenheim

I didn't wear the pedometer today so no count of the steps but not very many.

The day started late - I slept in till 6:20. After a leisurely breakfast and a bit of time browsing the net Peter & I went into the National Bank for morning tea. This was followed by a trip to ANZ, who were short staffed and frantically busy, an then the Cancer Society office. Ella and Rapid were a hit at the Cancer Society office and I think they could have been rehomed on the spot if I didn't love them so much.

Last visit of the morning was to Mighty Mix office. Then it was Ella to the vet. Pete and I then went to Wither Hills for wine tasting. With lots of chatting with people in the restaurant and collecting donations it was time for me to go and see the doctor and Springlands Medical Centre, who were treating my blisters for no charge - thank you very much. The medical advise was what I feared - nothing to do but put up with it and carry on the bathing in salt water to stop infections.

Then it was back to Wither Hills to finish the tasting. Caitlin was a very good host and we lingered quite a long time. The photo is of the dogs on the lawn at Wither Hills in the late afternoon sun - a lovely change from rain and snow. On the way back to town Pete went and bought some jandals so I could walk around with my feet getting air before and after the days walk. A narrow squeak entering The Warehouse car park. Pete thought about the height just in time. I think we would have knocked the vent off the roof.

I've really enjoyed the time with Sally and Stephen they have been wonderful hosts. Off to Havelock tomorrow.
